Reprint from the Eureka Times-Standard: "Works in Color" is the title of Kincaid's series which is on display for "Deck the Halls," the first show in a new Old Town venue, Gallery 305, which is located in the recently refurbished Jim Dunn Building at Second and D streets, Eureka. "Random Acts," a series of smoke on paper, is on display at Has Beans Café on Second and I streets in Eureka. Both Eureka galleries are participating in Arts Alive! from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Kincaid is also exhibiting her work at the Hart Gallery at the Ferndale Repertory Theatre in Ferndale, and will have a booth at the Adorni Recreation Cen-ter, 1011 Waterfront Drive, Eureka, during the 27th annual holiday craft bazaar, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Kincaid recently worked with the team of professionals at Times Printing in Eureka to produce a set of full-color gift cards based on four of her original works. The pieces were chosen for their vibrant colors, free-flowing lines and "lookability," a term used by Kincaid to describe something that is fun to view. "I don't really have an artist's philosophy," Kincaid said. "Instead, I prefer to engage one-on-one with the works of art themselves. Art has to be interesting or what's the point?"
